2024 Garden Club logo_final5-1.png

The Cedar Creek Garden Club was organized November 8, 1975 by Mrs. David K. Simpson. Through its many decades of being an organization dedicated to the beauty and science of gardening, CCGC represented our area well in the National and Regional Garden Club Competitions. Lifelong friends were made in these years and the art of gardening thrived at Cedar Creek Lake.

In 2020, the group made the decision to refreshen their purpose in the community and focus their expertise, interest and energy on the education and beautification of community projects. Their idea of a school garden was the first to take shape when, after meeting with Tool Elementary Principal Brandi Sutton and Vicki Dumont, Executive Director of the Food Pantry in Tool, everyone went into action.

Next on their agenda is supporting the beautification of our communities. Just recently, the City of Tool was awarded grant money toward a city park next to Tool City Hall and our group is looking forward to supporting this effort in the best way we know how…taking care of our plants. We hope you'll join us!  Annual Club membership is $25.00.  For more information contact Billie Hathaway at hathb@aol.com.
